With the advanced garment-making machines and the help from the Fabrica team, Fabrica Lab allows me to transform my futuristic ideas into real products.

Through my residency, I was able to access machinery like laser cutters and 3D printers that I wouldn’t otherwise be able to, and it opened doors for potential industry collaborations. The Mills Fabrica gave me the opportunity to prototype and hone my process, allowing me to take my work to the next level.

For my residency at The Mills Fabrica in Hong Kong, I am creating a type of biodegradable textile – Serpentine Lace, using algae extract and silk protein as ingredients to construct complex textile structures.
